Join the Friends of the Petoskey Public Library on the fourth Monday of each month, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, for their Carnegie Speaker Series in the upper level of the Carnegie Building (across the street from the Library).

For the August 25 program, we'll welcome Eli Baker, Education Manager at Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council (TOMWC), for an engaging lecture on its mission to protect northern Michigan’s freshwater resources. The TOMWC actively safeguards the Great Lakes, inland lakes, rivers, and wetlands through water quality monitoring, ecosystem restoration, invasive species management, policy advocacy, and education. Eli will share insights on efforts to address environmental challenges, shape water policies, and foster community involvement through the Watershed Discovery Center—a dynamic hub for environmental education.

(NOTE - This program was originally scheduled for Jan. 27 but was canceled due to inclement weather and road conditions.)
