Join the Friends of the Petoskey Public Library each month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for their Carnegie Speaker Series in the upper level of the Carnegie Building (across the street from the Library).
For the February 24 program, we'll learn about traditional Anishinaabek foods and tribal food sovereignty with Amanda Weinert. Amanda is the Ishkaakimikwe Kinoomaagewinan (Teachings of the Earth) Coordinator at Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB) in its Niigaandiwin Education Department. LTBB provides public programs like this one for tribal and non-tribal community members to keep Anishinaabe traditions alive and respected.
