Petoskey District Library has announced that the Michigan Department of State (MDOS) will be bringing its mobile office to the library on Monday, September 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lobby Pop-Up: Get Carded! Stop by our special pop-up table in the library lobby to learn about all the perks of a library card, get your questions answered, and sign up on the spot!

Learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s challenging driving environment.

Join Miss Lisa for play and discovery in the Children’s Program Room. Little ones 0-5 and their grown-ups can interact with toys and books that support early learning and development. 

String players of all abilities are welcome to join our small orchestra. The Lake Street Ensemble meets weekly at the Carnegie Building (upper level). Those attending play a variety of music and just have fun.

Join the PUPs (Petoskey Ukulele Players), a group of amateur, self-taught musicians every Thursday afternoon from 12:30pm to 3:00pm in the Lower Level Classroom. The program is open to new members of all ages and skill levels.

Looking to join in on the popular game of Mah Jongg? EVERY TUESDAY from 1:00-3:00pm, we have the Lower Level Classroom set up for Mah Jongg games for players to drop in and join a game.

Stop in and join our wonderful group of knitters and crocheters every Wednesday, from 1:00-3:00pm in the Library’s Large Meeting Room. This is for any age and level of expertise, though it’s best to have some basic skills.

Do you want to get a head start on your future? Taking the PSAT and SAT can help set you up for college success, and we want to help you!

Learn to play chess or play against others. Young people ages 8–18 are welcome to drop in. Chess Club is mentored by Robert Bemben, Robin Ray and Adam Masek.

Calling all tween/teen fans of anime and manga! Anime club is for fans in 7th-12th grades and features activities, snacks, and anime (of course)! 

Get pumped about these NEW GRAPHIC NOVELS on their release date. We will talk about the books and do an activity at each meeting. Graphic Novel League, unite!

The Page Turners Book Club typically meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the Large Meeting Room. Titles are selected quarterly by the participants. Join us for a discussion and refreshments inspired by the story!

Join Petoskey District Library and Emlia Acres as we celebrate Jane Austen's 250th birthday! In honor of the birthday lady, we will be learning how to make a posy bouquet. Posy bouquets were a social must in the Regency and Victorian eras.
