Celebrate World Labyrinth Day by joining us for the "Walk as One at 1" on Saturday, May 3, in the outdoor area of the Library.

The 2025 PDL Chess Championship will take place on Saturday, May 3, at the Carnegie Building, beginning at 1:00pm.

May the 4th be with you! Join us for an all ages Star Wars Event!

There will be trivia, food, games, and an opportunity to make your own lightsaber!

Registration is appreciated, but not required to attend.

Nature Play is for toddlers and preschoolers who, with caregivers, will make observations outdoors. Children will be invited to touch, smell and get messy with natural objects. 

Weather permitting.
 

Learn to play chess or play against others. Young people ages 8–18 are welcome to drop in. Chess Club is mentored by Robert Bemben, Robin Ray and Adam Masek.

Looking to join in on the popular game of Mah Jongg? EVERY TUESDAY from 1:00-3:00pm, we have the Lower Level Classroom set up for Mah Jongg games for players to drop in and join a game.

People ages 20-40 are invited to A Third Place on the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the upper level of the Carnegie Building from 6:30pm to 8:00pm during the months of March, April, and May.

Stop in and join our wonderful group of knitters and crocheters every Wednesday, from 1:00-3:00pm in the Library’s Large Meeting Room. This is for any age and level of expertise, though it’s best to have some basic skills.

Join us every Wednesday, starting at 7:00pm, in the upper level of the Carnegie Building for the Petoskey Film Series, the Library's weekly FREE movie showing that caters to an adult audience.

Why play with us?

Join the PUPs (Petoskey Ukulele Players), a group of amateur, self-taught musicians every Thursday afternoon from 12:30pm to 3:00pm in the Lower Level Classroom. The program is open to new members of all ages and skill levels.

Have you always wanted to make your own greeting cards? Want to learn more techniques for rubber stamping and paper crafting? Join Chris Smith for an extraordinary card making class!

Join us for a series of free workshops on estate planning and elder law, provided by the attorneys at Petoskey's Bassett Murray Law Group. Each session will focus on a specific topic as follows:

Samba is a variation of the card game Canasta. The version of Samba played in the Library uses six 52-card decks plus 12 jokers. Each round takes around 30-60 minutes to play with players typically agreeing to play three rounds.
