Program Description

Event Details

We are partnering again with Emmet County 4-H for our third Chicken Hatch-along, offering both young and not-so-young alike the opportunity to learn about embryology.

Youth ages 8-12 can join our knowledgeable 4-H leaders twice a week for three weeks in the Makerspace to learn about embryology from start to finish by examining the eggs and discussing the progression of a baby chick with (hopefully) a successful hatching of chicks!

Youth do not need to be current 4-H members, but will need to become one to participate in the afterschool activities. Class size limited to 10. Those registered will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30pm-5:30pm, beginning on March 5, and meet on the following dates: March 10, March 12, March 17, March 19, March 24, and March 26. Register online at https://hatch-a-long.4honline.com.

The hatch-along will be available for everyone to enjoy anytime the library is open! Visit the lower level of the library to check out the hatching progress from March 1 through March 26.
