Event Details

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Petoskey District Library and Crooked Tree Arts Center on Wednesday, December 31, for this annual community event! Beginning at 5:00pm, Mitchell Street will be closed off to vehicle traffic between Waukazoo and Division streets so everyone can enjoy outdoor activities in that area and at Bidwell Plaza. DJ Michael will be keeping the mood festive while you warm up at fire pits and grab a s’mores kit, compliments of the Library. Activities outside are free, but CTAC will have much more going on inside with an admission button. Tickets for the Arts Center include all food and refreshments and can be purchased at CTAC or their website.

The activities inside the library are FREE and open to the public. The LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE DAY, but open up from 6:00-9:00pm for music, crafts, and games on the main floor and lower level of the Library. (The second floor of the Library will be closed to the public during the celebration.) Grab a photo with Wild Thing from the book "Where the Wild Things Are." Enjoy music by Jeff Pagel in the rotunda area and some friendly, competitive chess games going in the lower level classroom. We'll also have other board games available to play throughout the library. Stop in and see us before watching the ball drop at 9:00pm!
