On March 3rd between 4:00am-7:00am, a total lunar eclipse will be visible throughout North America. Also known as the "Blood Moon" due to the red appearance, a total lunar eclipse is a relatively rare phenomenon and has inspired cultures throughout the history of the Earth.
Join us on March 2nd at 6:00pm while Nisa Kesseler, librarian and NASA partner Eclipse Ambassador, describes the science of the Blood Moon and the cultural history surrounding the awesome astronomical phenomenon.
Registration is appreciated, but not required, to attend this program.
