Cluck-tastic Chicken Talk

As part of our second Hatch-along at the Library, our project partners at Emmet County 4-H are offering a program for adults on Saturday, March 22, at 2:00pm in the lower level classroom.

Curious about raising chickens? Want to have your own little flock but not sure where to start? Then this class is for you! We will be discussing the pros and cons of having your own backyard chickens. Topics will include a primer on the different breeds for egg production to fancy feathered feet, a little bit about common chicken ailments, feeding, and housing. A few feathered friends may even join us for a more interactive program! Bring your questions and hopefully we will peck our way through some answers!
