CHICKEN HATCH-ALONG AT THE LIBRARY!
It was a delight for both young and not-so-young alike last year learning about embryology and we are thrilled to partner again with Emmet County 4-H for our second Chicken Hatch-along, located on the lower level of the Library!
Youth ages 8-12 can join our knowledgeable 4-H leaders twice a week for three weeks in the Makerspace to learn about embryology from start to finish by examining the eggs and discussing the progression of a baby chick with (hopefully) a successful hatching of chicks!
Youth do not need to be current 4-H members, but will need to become one to participate in the afterschool activities. Class size limited to 10. The class will meet at 4:30pm on March 13, the first date the eggs will be set in their incubators. Those registered will then meet at 4:30pm on the following dates: March 17, March 19, March 24, March 26, April 2, and April 4. Register online at https://hatchalong2025.4honline.com/.
The hatch-along will be available for everyone to enjoy anytime the library is open! Visit the lower level of the library to check out the hatching progress from March 13 through April 5.
